Hello,
I'm a novice in this area. I need quite a lot of help regarding the following.

I have a Galil DMC 2143 controller, San Motion AC servo motor (200 V, 400 W, 3000rpm, R2AA06040FXH00W), a motor driver (RS1A03AA). When I connect the motor to the PC using the motor software (R-Setup, given at the time of purchase), the motor is able to do jogging operation. This ensures that my motor and encoder are working.
When I try to do the same thing using GalilTools, I hear a sound from the motor. It feels like the motor has started but it doesn't have the torque to move the load (my guess). The GalilTools is connected to the 2143 controller using ethernet . The code that I use is
SH
SPA=2000
PRA=3000
BG A
AM A
WT 2000
EN

Kindly suggest a solution to run the motor

Hi shyamashi,

What type of command signal does the drive require? In order to interface with the external drive you will want to confirm that your MT is set correctly, and that your motor command signal is outputting to the drive. The controller can output a +/- 10V command signal The second thing to check is the motor feedback. Confirm that the drive's motor polarity matches the Galil controller. This can be done by checking the CE command. The third thing to check is your amplifier enable signal. The controller outputs a signal to the external drive so that it turns on when an SH command is issued and off when an MO command is issued.
