PCI Econo Motion Controllers, 1-4 axes

The DMC-18x2 Series are PCI bus motion controllers designed for the most cost-sensitive applications. The DMC-18x2 controllers accommodate 1- through 4-axis formats and allow control of step or servo motors on any combination of axes. Any mode of motion can be programmed including linear and circular interpolation, contouring, electronic gearing and ecam. To minimize cost, the following features are not available on the DMC-18x2: five through eight axes of control, optical isolation on inputs, dual encoder inputs, and the auxiliary FIFO and DPRAM communication channel. If you need these features, select the DMC-18x6 Accelera PCI controller. Like all Galil controllers, programming the DMC-18x2 is simplified with two-letter, intuitive commands and a full set of software tools such as GDK for servo tuning and analysis.

  • Modes of motion include jogging, point-to-point positioning, contouring, linear and circular interpolation, electronic gearing and ECAM. Ellipse scaling, slow-down around corners, infinite segment feed and feedrate override
  • Multitasking for concurrent execution of up to eight application programs
  • Non-volatile memory for application programs, variables and arrays
  • Home input and forward and reverse limits accepted for every axis
  • 8 Uncommitted inputs and 8 outputs
  • Expansion for 64 I/O available with optional DB-14064

  • Connects directly to AMP-19540 4-axis drive for cost-effective, multi-axis controller/drive solution. Drives brush or brushless servos up to 500 Watts each. Or, connect to external drives of any power range using ICM-2900 interconnect module
